Default 718 GTS Allocation and Build

I'm fairly new to the forum and want to thank everyone for the good information and opinions. I've had an allocation for a couple of weeks and hoping for some opinions suggestions. I'm going with the get exactly what you want approach in terms of options even though it'll be a stretch to my car budget. Two things I'm torn on; the interior (blue leather with yellow deviated stitching vs Red GTS interior) & Manual versus PDK.

Build 1 : Shark Blue / Blue Leather with yellow deviated stitching

Build 2: Shark Blue / GTS Red Interior

I'm trying to keep the total build to $112K-$115K. Has anyone regretted getting the manual to save $$? I drive a manual now and it is fine, but it doesn't bring me the joy it seems to bring some of you lol .

Any suggestions are much appreciated! Build closes Oct 18, Production in Dec, and delivery early next year (so far).

Build 1 for cosmetics. I like shark blue and I like red interior, but not together. This opinion is worth exactly what you paid for it.

Regarding transmission - buy the one you want regardless of the cost difference. PDK v. manual alters the fundamental characteristics of the car and your interaction with it on every drive. There is no one correct answer and the infinite debates are tiresome. However, I think that most would agree that this should not be an economic decision. If you really want a PDK, get it. The expense is marginal relative to the price of the car. The regret of getting the wrong transmission (for you) will linger throughout your entire ownership; the sting of the extra $3k will fade rapidly.

I'd get a yellow tach before a yellow chrono. I don't like that look in Build 1, but otherwise it's a good combo. I'd add crests to the headrests and call it a day.

My recommendation on the transmission debate, if you are able to, test drive a manual GTS/GT4. I pretty dead set on getting a PDK for my CGTS, but had the chance to test drive a manual GT4 and was instantly sold. Realistically speaking though, you can't go wrong either way, the PDK is one of the best autos on the market, and the manual is a very good feeling trans. Best of luck and congrats on the allocation!

Shark Blue/ GTS Red Interior and would even suggest carbon buckets for the best look with this combo. I have had the opportunity to drive the GTS 4.0 in both PDK and manual and no question in my mind that the manual felt better to me. The PDK is absolutely effortless and shifts with such precision but the manual is flat out more fun and a perfect match for this car. I felt the PDK to be quite boring.

I think the GTS interior in red is fantastic. Exterior color combos it can be picked with will take some time on the configurator.

It is your car, not mine, get what you want. My car is what I would have picked for new, except exterior color, but Carmine Red would have been # 2.

I was the opposite of those above. Was a manual only guy and had a manual spec'd on my build for 6 months waiting for my GT4 allocation. While waiting, I got to drive a GTS4.0 with PDK, loved it so much, I changed my GT4 build to PDK and haven't regretted it yet - I've had my car for about 6 months now.

Love Shark blue (obviously bias) however not a fan of your interior pairings. I'd go the GTS interior with chalk stitching, and shark blue belts to match the exterior. I'd also have the calipers painted black. Not at all a fan of the red/blue (superman) theme.
