What to check before purchasing a manual GTS

Back to the original question; the DME report is really the only data point you can realistically reference. It's good to see 0 overrevs across all ranges, for sure. But IMO if you come across a car that may have some range 1s or 2s that shouldn't necessarily exclude it from consideration, and doesn't imply the car wasn't "babied"... nor is "babying" a sports car necessarily a great thing. For example, the previous owner could have been great about not abusing the engine, but abused the hell out of the clutch. There's no (reasonably) way to tell that until the clutch starts to go.
A clutch is also far less expensive than an engine too... but also not covered under warranty.
14k miles, good DME report, good visible condition, passes dealer CPO inspection- that's really as much diligence as you can do. Some on here would encourage a 3rd party pre-purchase inspection, and it would be a worthy investment for peace of mind but I'm not one of those who deem it absolutely necessary on top of what's already listed on a car with 14k miles.
