So my last new Porsche was a 2006 GT Silver Carrera S as loaded as they come. Didn't do it for me, have had more old school air cooled cars and current ride is a fully restored original 1972 911S

I find myself really liking the GTS 4.0 in either Boxster or Cayman as basic as possible and manual transmission. Has anybody tried to buy this model via European Delivery? I know its like impossible to buy a desirable new car these days, but I am going to go to my local Porsche dealer and discuss this weekend. Just wondering if you all can tell me what to expect.

I need to go to Europe this Summer - Uncle in Nuremberg is 96 years old, want to visit cousins in Munich, want to hit an F1 race in Europe and need to visit employees in Nice. So two free weeks in Europe with the car are a huge plus and buying it at MSRP (if you can) is actually a good deal right now.

Just wondering is anyone has experienced this recently for any 718 model.

You can expect a long wait list for GTS models.

You may have to pay ADM.

My dealer has 15 on a list for base 718s.

Allocations up to the August holiday have largely been consumed.

You chance of getting an allocation with ED this summer is about zero.

With that said, call around and offer a big ADM for head of line privilege.

Thanks much, I am not surprised at all. About what I expected, It's just a crazy time to try and buy a new car that is desirable.

I placed a deposit for a 718 GTS 4.0 in May of 2021. I was given an allocation in January for what was supposed to be a March build. That build is now slated for late April. I've been trying to get ED setup and have been told I have no chance at July. September in Zuffenhausen is maybe a possibility. Based on my experience, you're probably a year late on what you're looking for.

European delivery is not available right now for U.S. deliveries. They might bring it back later in the year, but nothing for summer right now.

Yep. Even if you could get a car there’s no US European Delivery program running.
