Might want to consider the impact on your credit if you’re financing it the temporary. I won’t bore you with the embarrassing details but Porsche Finance went from incredibly easy last March on my temporary 2016 CPO GTS to full on insane on my 2022 GTS. The only activity on my credit during that time was financing the car and paying off the loan on the temporary.

The most shocking thing is that when I sold the temporary and the loan was paid off my credit score went down 15 points because I closed an account.

lol. Credit scores are such a scam. And Porsche Finance can GFY. There’s no reason to work with them outside of leases. And Porsche leases are the worst. So, yeah.

They are indeed a scam. Porsche Finance has actually been really good for me until this experience. While I’m sure it’s a lie I’m telling myself, I’m pretty sure this will be my last new car purchase so I’ll never have to deal with this again.

Agreed, I much prefer to use my local credit union or even USAA. That being said, if they won't negotiate on price, I find you can usually get a couple grand off by using their financing. In my case, I was going to then flip it to my credit union but since I have an new allocation, I'll keep it as the six months I have my loan, it's not worth it to play those games.

I bought a BMW motorcycle a few years back, got a great price as long as I used their financing. I did that, got home and paid it off. Sure, my credit took a hit, but it recovers for that very quickly.

Congrats, no looking back now…enjoy the Cayman until the new one arrives.

Understandable they’d drop the ADM for all the transactions you’ll participate in…another Porsche method to extract ADM.

Here’s the temporary car I went with. Worst case scenario if the dealer screws me over somehow on the new build, it makes for a great permanent car!

And that's why I have bought temporary cars. Somehow they all stick around a few years longer than I expected due to allocation delays, build delays, life changes, ADM changes, stuff. It makes it a lot easier to wait for the right deal when you already have an awesome car and you don't feel like you HAVE to have THIS deal. Because these days, there sure are a lot of crappy deals around
