Default Red Side Markers?

I was thinking of replacing my OEM amber side markers. I've seen the clear and smoked versions, but would actually prefer red to sort of "match" the red calipers. I thought I'd seen someone say they bought some, but can't seem to find the thread (or anyplace that sells them). Suncoast has clear and smoked only. Did I imagine it?

Red only goes on the back of the car.

Red forward facing lights are illegal in the US. And not just the discretionary type of illegal like clear side markers. Red and blue forward lights are reserved for emergency vehicles only.

Try Lamin-x (https://lamin-x.com/search-magic.htm...re/desc&page=1) and if you do not see what you are looking for on their website ask them via a message. They have a sale on now as well. I used their dark film on my side markers, rear reflectors and 3rd brake light; however, I had to cut my own for the last 2.

Not really, since I tend to not keep pics of the car as I mod it but you could search my old posts for pics of the car when I first got it. To be clear I did not use Red since my car is Yellow - here are a few that show the dark Lamin-X:

I did not realize that, my mistake.

Keep in mind that they should still be amber when on, just like mine that have dark Lamin-x, so it seems you could have Red side markers if they were just covers.

Amber led through grey=reduced brightness.
Amber led through red=reduced brightness and increased red.

I highly recommend the OP does not try and match the calipers but, if orange is out, then match the rest of the lights to reduce the number of colours.

Sounds like somebody already tried it.

Nah, mine was delivered (in Australia) with the clear markers—but as a photographer I understand filters. I also lived in North America long enough to know that red lights visible from the front attract the wrong sort of attention really quickly.

Even down here the wrong colours aren't acceptable. A friend put a blue plastic 'gem' on his stoplights to turn them quite a nice purple when braking, but the police didn't let that go long at all.
