I placed a demand order for a 718 Spyder in Florida with PDK. SA mentioned he doesn’t expect inventory anytime time. Friday I happened to be on DuPont Registry and saw a 2021 with my exact spec pop up…I called and the SA didn’t know they had it. Just came in the day prior (didn’t have pic or even go through service yet). Previously owner felt it was to harsh for LA roads after 3 months. Put a deposit. Flew across the country on sat to inspect it. Being shipped this weekend. I’m so excited and lucky!!!

This is (effectively) the same story I had with my car. Placed an order, then one popped on AutoTrader in the exact spec I wanted (albeit new, and not used).

Below is the spec/build sheet. The only two options I have on the order (no allocation) is PCCB and Burmeister Stereo. SA isn’t hopeful I will see an allocation in the next few months and I’ve been keeping an eye on used 2021s. Very few have been on the market with PDK. SO When this came up I had to to jump on it. I will keep my order and see what happens.

But you missed the opportunity for an epic road trip driving home!
If the car is in cali you don't want to drive it 'home' (assuming out of state) if you do you are obligated to pay cali sales tax. (woof) If you ship it home from cali, no cali sales tax only your state and local sales tax. Its one if not the only state in the union to do it this way.
Correct, I pay FL sales tax when registered plus one time new license fee of $225 and my annual fee of ~$100 I think my turbo s was like $1400 when I lived in CA. Clearly those fees didn’t go to improving the roads
