Default Direct Injection Issues

Got a call from an old friend who rebuilt my old 911 AC lump some years ago 50k on it and still only burn about 10 oz. every 3k.
I told him I have a 2018 Cayman so he asked what oil I use and I said 0/40 Mobil1....as per factory.
He said he has seen low speed pre ignition issues with that due to the direct injection and the calcium level in Mobil 1...he said you want that at about 1200 ppm and Mobil 1 o/40 is about 2700 ppm. The calcium build up causes the pre ignition issues.
He rec.D 140 Syn Direct Inj Perf oil by DRIVEN....
Howard has been a Porsche trained mechanic for the last 45 years and runs his own shop.
Just an FYI.... no affiliation with Howard other than a friend and none with Driven.

Yes, he's referring to the A40 formulation; the C40 formulation drops the calcium.
