Default Fire extinguisher bracket options

What are the option for a fire extinguisher bracket? Is the Porsche one the best? Witch one are you using?

Thanks

Depends upon the seats. If you have sport seats plus (SSP) you’re more limited. IIRC Rennline has a bracket for non-Plus sport seats.

Brey-Krause makes a ‘universal’ mount that works with SSP.

There may be more good SSP options now. I haven’t look in a couple of years.

The big difference between mounts is, of course, whether they mount to the seat or the rails/floor.

Another option would be to get an Element fire extinguisher which is about the size of a 12" broom stick and simply tuck it in the door pocket - I have done this and it works great, easily accessed and does not take up any interior space.

Rennline have Element brackets, too, but their advertising has been unclear whether they'll work in 718s or not.

From the Element FAQ on their website:

YES. Element fire extinguishers have been approved by the Porsche Club of America for use in their High Performance Track and Driver Education events as a substitute for a traditional fire bottle.
