Hi everyone . Just sold my 2010 911 C2S and got 2018 718 GTS. So far I love the way it drives. So much low end torque compared to my 911! Was unpleasantly surprised when discovered few idiosyncrasies: no auto dimming mirrors (like wtf) and no Nav lol (car apple car play..I use android)
Two questions: is it possible to retrofit auto dimming inside mirror, and what spacers people are running? On 911 I had 7mm front and 15 mm back on 19inch wheels. This one has 20 inch. carrera classic . Thank you

Welcome to the 718 side. Auto dimming mirrors need power to function, so while it's possible, Porsche typically does not have the same harness for all vehicles (a lot of manufacturers use basically the same wiring harness for base vs optioned out cars and cap the plugs) meaning it would probably be a nightmare to get it working on a Porsche. aka it would be a miracle if it was just as simple as swapping mirrors.

The harness is different behind the homelink panel depending on auto dim or not.

There are pictures in the wiring radar thread.

7mm rear and 15mm front shoud be fine if you want them flush with the wheel well lip...I personally like the front tucked just a tad so I would do 7mm all around.
