How badly are full manual seats going to kill me on resale?

Thats what you think until something else catches your eye.
But seriously, I doubt you will lose much if you buy at the right price.
If you are trading the 718 to the dealer for the 992, that could be different. If so, negotiate the trade in price now before buying.

There are a plenty of fans for every type of seat so don't worry about it.

The bigger question should be: How much is 14 ways or 18 ways going to kill me on resale? Remember without exception almost every option is a money loser that will lose value quicker than the car and so paying significantly more for 14 or 18 ways is not going to improve your resale. There is a buyer for every car and for every person that wants 14 or 18 ways there is a person that does not want to pay extra for that option, does not want to carry the extra weight or for any reason just values the 4way more. Never buy an option for resale buy it for yourself only.

Ill chime in here, equal options, colors etc, I would not buy an expensive sports car that spends most of its time on the road without at least the standard 8-way seats and preferably the 14-way. I have the 18-way and really do use the extra 4 degrees of freedom. I would not even test drive with manual seats.

The manual sports seats plus are far closer to the 18 way than the 14 ways are.

Strange? read the post again, it clearly implies that I would not penalize buying a used Boxster that has 14 way seats instead of 18 way. I'm responding to the post context. When I purchased my 2018 BGTS I somewhat recall that 8-way were standard. Could be wrong here though as I would not have spent much time looking at the standard seats.

I'd be fine with 0-way adjustable seats as long as they were comfortable. I set my 2-way seats once at the dealer and they have not been adjusted since, and they feel great! I'm glad I bought the 2-way and didn't' pay thousands more for something I have no need for. I doubt there are many people who wouldn't even consider test driving a car with manual seats. Model, color, transmission, mileage and condition are the primary considerations most people have when buying a used car. Seat adjustment is a secondary or tertiary consideration that won't be a deal breaker for most people if your car checks the right primary consideration boxes for them.

My 2 cents. My preference is the manual seats. Having infinitely adjustable seats, and having manual seats in many cars, I prefer manual as a lot of engineering went in to getting the seat just right for most people as there is no major adjustment. With infinitely adjustable seats I find I have too much choice to screw it up so it becomes a choir to set them.... then inevitably someone changes them and I need to start all over again. Not so much of a deal with Porsches with memory functions, but the GT4 lacks that option so it's definitely manual seats for me.
My other beef is power seats are slow, so I'd prefer to have manual seats to quickly move them if I need to.
Then there is the weight savings with getting the manual seats, and avoiding extra stuff to break (hey its a german car, stuff happens).
