Anyone use Vbox Sport for lap timing?
Thinking about getting this for my upcoming 718 GT4 that I have ordered. The Porsche Track App seems faulty and you have to buy the Nav package - not keen.
Anyone use it? With what third party app - Harry's?
Pros and cons appreciated!

Now I use it with RaceChrono Pro mainly and sometimes the vBOX Laptimer app.
works great. I have the slightly older 20hz unit.

Noted, thanks. I'm thinking of going with the Vbox + Harry's Grand Prix app + PLX Kiwi 4 for OBD. If anyone can shed light on what Porsche gives you through ODB and whether it is worth it getting the PLX, let me know.

You don't get much through the OBD
You can get more info over Canbus.... for 718 GT4 (Racelogic site)
PTPA gets the full read out of measures which was pretty cool until they cocked up the app and have seemingly left it to die.
All in all - I'm going to end up springing for a vBOX Video system - it is more expensive - but you can get away with 1 camera and then use your action camera for other views. I should have just done that from the start given how much i've spent on vBOX Sport, Apps, phone mounts and action cams.
The Full system works all the time with no messing around trying to get things to pair - potentially costing you driving time.
Video and Data are recorded in sync - together and you can just pull the SD card and immediately review - no having to splice video and data together - although HLT and RaceChrono in particular are pretty good at this now and you can even import .VBO data and video after the fact and use this apps as an editing studio.

If you just want a great lap timer that has built in audio/video recording, get a Garmin Catalyst. It's cheap compared to all other solutions, and it absolutely awesome. Best money I've spent in a long time.
