Ha! I should demand royalties on the blacked out windshield surround! I did it on my BS in 2015 and did it on my Spyder the day I got it.

I have a 2019 Targa GTS - sorry for infiltrating your forum. I ordered a new 2008 Boxster S many moons ago and I still miss that car...thinking about selling my Targa to get one.

I guess it depends on your definition of “line.” A switch to electric power would be as profound as moving the engine to the front as far as I’m concerned regardless of what name Porsche might use for the future cars. The “line” of the Boxster/Cayman is defined by the flat mid engine just the like the 911 line is defined by a flat rear engine.
