Default “APR”/Arin” needs heeeelp with tune operation

Update: Did some testing and found answer to my question about the “Individual Mode”.
1. Everything in the Individual mode works exactly as oem except for auto start/stop which is the reverse. So all the individual options work with the APR tune.

Still not sure about the “Sport Response” button behavior with the APR tune. So edited my original post to be relevant only for what I still don’t know the answer.

Original edited post:

This post is directed at Arin at APR. Posted here because it might be of interest to those of you with the Sport Chrono option. I’m trying to learn the full behavior and impact of the APR tune on all the different combinations of option/setting.

1. “Individual mode”- Deleted- see update above

2. Sport Response button in center of Chrono package. With the APR tune if I press the button while in Normal mode will the tune switch to Sport or Sport+(remember APR state different power settings between Normal and Sport/Sport+ settings). Or the SR button will just switch PDK shifting points in whatever mode the Chrono dial is? What about the 20 second overboost? Does it become just a timer?

Thanks in advance.

I have a 2019 GTS. What is the Sport Response button? Where is it? I am not aware of this option.

The button in the center of the Steering Wheel mounted Chrono dial. In a stock GTS it goes into the most aggressive PDK shifting program, even higher than Sport+. It also allows the engine to go into overboost. last for 20 seconds thus the countdown on the dial.

I have a 6 MT. No wonder I don't have that button.

It is my understanding (maybe my hope) that the Individual button is not a fourth tune. It just allows you to assign normal, sport, or sport + engine mapping to the Individual setting. Individual is a mix and match for ECU and chassis setting.

The sport response button will give you the more aggressive transmission shifting maps. If you're in normal mode, you'll still get normal mode power levels.

@zagaone , did I hear correctly elsewhere that you are running our 100 octane tune? I believe we spoke about this. If that was you, I looked and confirmed you're running the 100 octane program. If that's not you, disregard. But if it is, I need to stress once again, do not run this software unless you are running a minimum of 100 octane fuel. If you're using a lower octane fuel, it will destroy the engine.

Thanks Arin for your response. I'm using Sunoco GT Plus 104/93 oct. mix at no less than a 2 to 1 ratio. Pretty sure the gas octane mix has never been under 102 oct just in case. Being very OCD and conservative about it. That is the reason I did not go to the 104 tune. Too difficult, almost impossible to keep the octane at 104 with lower gas still on the tank. I don't know of any easy and simple way to empty the tank in this car.

Went to the track a few days ago. Did a few 1/2 hours sessions with no problems. Car ran great. Oil and water temperatures were good and no lean mode to deal with. And to my surprise in normal mode at a constant 65-75 mph, highway fuel economy to and from the track was an impressive 27mpg. Car is a lot faster than stock. Even a lot faster than stock 991.2 S. Everything, including acceleration, drive ability and PDK shifting are way better than the previous tune I had in the car. Just waiting for multi program control so I don't have to waste very expensive 104 fuel going and coming from the track at 65mph.

Thanks.
