Default 718 Mandatory Aftermarket Mods???

While we pass time waiting for 718 GT4/Spyder allocations, I was wondering what everyone’s “Mandatory” mods to the 718 are? In other words what would you highly recommend doing/changing shortly or immediately after taking delivery of a new 718?

I’ll go first with mine:

1) Paint Correction & Xpel Ultimate Plus full car wrap STAT
2) Houndstooth/Pepita carbon fiber bucket seat inserts
3) Clear Side Markers
4) Wheel Stud Conversion
5) Brake Caliper Stud Conversion

Please make any recommendations or post up your list as well!

Ultimate Cup Holders
Definitely PPF for rocker panels, at a minimum.... I wish I had done this as my car has a good bit of self-inflicted paint chips right in front of the rear tires and right in front of the side vents.

Just don't get too bent out of shape if your installer does something weird and botches your car. Suspect Porsche won't buy yours back like they did two of Nick Murray's!

Have a 718 right now: Would absolutely do this ASAP. Both places you mentioned, and right behind the rear tires too (the body work folds under so any kicked up gravel hits it there).

Other items:
- Phone holder (going to take my current one over)
- Clear side markers (again, already have these)
- Ceramic Pro 9H + bra on the wear areas
- GT4 Specific: see if I like the stock exhaust here in the US without GPF... since I won't be leasing this, I'm actually tempted to purchase a new, lighter exhaust system in the future.

For exhaust - our customers have been quite happy with a Sport Catalytic Converter Downpipe. More power, more response, more delicious turbo sound!

I've only done three so far:

1. PPF
2. Clear side markers from Suncoast
3. Ultimate Cup holders (did a nice job holding a bottle of wine perfectly upright (unopened of course))

Is the LidLiner necessary?

And yes, I think Nick Murray goofed his wiring up with mods.

Not really, but I like mine. Makes it so I don't have to clean the frunk.

I take it out when we go on our big trips because we can fit our luggage better.

I think you are referring to a Frunk Liner. That is NOT what I am referring to. The LidLiner fits on the Frunk lid (the hood on most cars) and protects the lid from dents caused by things in the frunk. There is nothing between a pointy object in your frunk and the outside world except for a thin piece of metal.

Yes, you are correct! Duh on me.

I really should get a couple of those.

My 2 favorite mods were both done in my first day of ownership: Installed a short shifter (identical Porsche mechanism, but 20mm shorter), and a SmartTop module.

If you are doing any drive or track days with close group driving then you will wont front radiator grills along with your front PPF. They get quite a beating with small stones.
