My car actually had a leaf get stuck in the side scoops last Fall on a Mountain drive and it sounded like a bike with a baseball card in the spokes. I purchased the side grilles to prevent that from happening again and added the front side grilles to protect from rocks and they have stopped a lot of debris that was headed towards my radiators. This is a must have for me. Attaching a close up of my side grille, hope this helps.

Looks like the front, not the side. But you are correct in that the side ones are a good idea.

Correct, thread seemed to be focused on the fronts. Have plenty of side pics if interested but in the end, great product, very affordable, provides protection and easy to install. Not much else required. Enjoy!

Just ordered a set of these for delivery to the UK as I'm not impressed by the Zunsport ones and these are a fraction of the cost even with shipping from the US.

Any idea of shipping times though?

Thanks

Zunsport is a great product. Thank you for giving us a shot. As for shipping times, we get it out fast, then it goes into the world shipping quagmire. Unfortunately it is very difficult to predict though UK shipping seems to be getting better.

Are the GT4/Spyder side intake grilles $70 more than regular 718 side intake grilles because they're functionally different or more difficult to manufacture? Or is it priced higher just because? lol.

Great question!!! Yes they are much more difficult to manufacture due to the fact that 718 GTS 4.0, Spyder, GT4, went back to the split intake and heat dissipation system similar to the 981 cars. The four banger 718 cars have only single track intake on each side. We don’t have to go around that septum that is in the middle on each side. We had to create a special jig just to create these grills and the amount of time invested to create each one is about 200% more.
great question @Kamber

Did the install last week on my 18 GTS. I had an "oh bother" moment in my 2016 Golf R a few years back, which had a comparably exposed front end. Managed to catch a screw 15 miles in to a 500 mile trip that caused a delay to moving in to a new place. In addition to the delay, it was around $1200 to repair the small radiator and flush the system. After that, when I got my Cayman I knew I'd want something. Sides were a piece of cake, but I had to call in my wife for backp on the center section. After some finagling and patience we got it situated no problem. Definitely recommend for anyone on the fence.

Glad you love the product! That is the exact stories we are trying to prevent with these easy to install, OEM looking grilles. Thank you for your support!
Just had a C8 Corvette owner send us a photo of our grilles doing their job by stopping a 3 inch piece of sharp steel flying at him at 90mph from contacting the condenser.

Mine arrived today and fitting took 10 mins. I am very very impressed with these (even though they did take almost 4 weeks to arrive!).
