Default 718 Fuel leak

All,

I am looking for some help. We own a new 718 Boxster. With 800 miles on her it cracked a fuel sending unit and leaked fuel. Porsche replaced the sending unit and off we went. Less than 1000 miles later, yep, it cracked another unit. This time Porsche replaced the tank along with the sending unit. Away we went again. You guessed it, less than 1000 miles later, it cracked it a third time. We are now working with Porsche on this. Has anyone had a similar issue? If so, what was the outcome? How did it get resolved. Its a bummer as the car is great to drive.

First time I’ve heard of this.

Check on planet-9 too.

What a frustrating fault. Obviously they have not found the actual faulty component that is causing the sending unit to crack. I've also never heard of it.

Do let us know what you find.

Where are you located, in some states ( in the US ) after a dealer fails to resolve an issue after 3 attempts you can get the Lemon Law invoked and get a new car.

I hope younget get a quick resolution.

Hi, I know this is an old thread but was curious if this was ever resolved? If so, how? Thank you!

Always leery of someone who makes a reliability claim with very low number of posts, never responds within their own thread as in this case, and also as in this case, hasn't logged on since the following day after the date of the thread. I'm sure it's BS...
