Thoughts on my potential lease?
Hi all,
Long time lurker. In the market to get into a new 2018 Cayman S PDK. I was looking at the GTS, but it's just a tad out of my price range for now. The dealer was able to find a car from another dealer out of state and will get the car for me. I've been shopping around and I think I found a decent deal, but please let me know. I've tried to negotiate more off the MSRP but have had a hard time in the Bay Area. It would be a 10k/39 month lease.
2018 Black Cayman S
PDK
Heated Seats
20" Carrera S wheels
Wheels painted in satin black
Lane Change assist
Heated Multifunctional Stearing Wheel
BOSE
Porsche Connect
PSE pained in black
Crest on Head rest
Tinted tail lights
Fuel Cap in Aluminum Look
MSRP: 78710
Selling: 76210
CA TAX: 3375
Dealer/State: 723.00
Residual: 47226 or 58%
10k/39 month lease.
Current numbers to take it home are 2110 drive off and 1050/month. With the wheel and tire package $1488 it would be about 1090/month.
How's it look? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I knoooow... I was looking to get the Sport Chrono, but I'm not sure I'll be utilizing it that much. All the others would be nice too!

Burning Brakes
It changes throttle mapping / boost mapping compared to Sport mode to make it more responsive in the higher rev ranges compared to sport.
Sport: Very jumpy at low RPMs, falls off a little more in the upper range. PDK mapping (when in automatic mode) hangs on to revs more readily than Normal. This is literally a "sporty" mode meant for driving around on the street in a "sporty" fashion.
Sport+: Less jumpy at low RPMs, more of a linear mapping (feels like a N/A car) with boost almost always on. PDK mapping (when in automatic) is racing oriented - it will always keep the tach in the optimal rev range and downshift even at 4-5k RPMs just to keep the revs up high
Side benefits: Individual mode, dial on the steering wheel for the different modes, dynamic transmission mounts based on mode. The clock and lap timer are really the least of the benefits.
In the end, Sport/Sport+ have the same power output it's just managed differently.
Personally, I couldn't think to have one knowing that I didn't have Sport Chrono - even if I barely use it. I'm just obsessive that way...
Practically, I think it's most useful on the track where you can throw it in full auto mode with Sport+ and have it perform perfectly.

My custom ordered C2 991.2 is due to arrive mid- Dec. Originally planned on purchasing it, but probably going to lease it now. Putting aside the question of buy vs lease, has any one
recently leased thru PFS? Does anyone know what the current MF & residual % for a 36 month lease, assuming 5k miles/yr with a PFS tier 1 credit score? This will be my first Porsche. Counting the days! Thx.

I took the approximate 33K that he would pay after the residual and the payment of $1,090 for 39 months to get the interest rate. I will post the amortization as soon as I get to my office either tomorrow or Monday.

No crazy about the discount. I just ordered a 2019 Cayman S and negotiated 10% off. You can do better on selling price and also the money factor.
Keep in mind that every 1,000.00 off reduces the payment close to $30/month.
