USMillworks vs. Platypus tow hook license bracket with sensors?
Has anyone actually tried either of these license plate brackets on a 718 Cayman (GTS or otherwise) with park sensors? To me it looks like the US Millworks should be adjustable enough to fit between the sensors. On the other hand, the Platypus - whose claim is that it doesn't disrupt the sensors - looks like it should sit right over top of them. I have emailed Cravenspeed & they have been helpful in that they say the Platypus works well with the sensors. I emailed US Millworks but have yet to hear back from them.

I have a new cayman arriving at the dealer soon and have been researching this myself. Rho-plate makes one they claim does not interfere with the sensors: https://www.rho-plate.com/products/p...8-rho-plate-v2

I have purchased the Platypus but have not put it on the car (hasn't been registered yet). I'll report back here after it's installed.
Thanks for the information.

The platypus tow hook mount that is specific to the 718 includes an extension to clear the sensors. You may or may not need to use it. When I tried to mount plate without the extension, the plate was triggering the sensor that’s under the headlight. So, I had to use the extension. I didn’t like the look so I’m currently plate-less. Probably going to try something from the other license plate thread.

I don't really understand the comment about the extension. I received my Platypus last week, though I haven't installed it yet, and there is no extension. However, the mount if off center from all the photos on their website in order to clear the sensors. Here's a photo of mine in the box:

I hope the photos fit the format - still new at this.

That will be a future photo as I already took the bracket off. My plates won't be arriving for a month or so. I did look though and there seemed to be plenty of space between the plate and bumper.
