Thanks for posting. I will have my 718 GTS Boxster On Track within the next ten days. The break in continues and the Pirelli Trofeo R compound will be installed on Friday.

I'm unclear if that was the OP driving or if the OP found the video. If the OP was driving: Smooth driving my friend... it looks like you were getting the most out of the GTS. Great lap time!
It's hard to believe that for how great the 718 GTS handles and how smooth your lap was, that Lewis Hamilton did that same lap in full wets in only 1:34 seconds. Even more impressive is that the 2018 F1 cars are doing the lap in almost 1/2 of your lap time on a dry track. I know... the down force/braking/horsepower/weight/etc are not comparable, and the drivers have massive experience and practice.
I would love to see your lap time in a F1 car... once the clutch was figured out and lot's of practice.
I wonder how the majority of us would do given the chance?

Probably not well (speaking for myself of course)

And it's funny that F1 drivers complain that the current crop of cars don't have enough downforce!

The majority of us would crash an F1 car without completing a lap unless we limited ourselves to first gear.

Even with more experience driving and a full day of practice in lesser cars, Hampster was barely able to do a lap.

Very few people outside Motorsport have a real conception of the skill, training, and fitness required to drive an F1 car.
