Default 718 Boxster GTS

I'm trying to finalize specs for a new GTS build. I have two related questions:

1. Does the premium package really include PDLS? It lists PDLS but doesn't discount for PDLS if it's already selected elsewhere.
2. Does the premium package pro include PDLS? Seems like it just adds more options than the premium package except it doesn't list PDLS at all.

Really I'm trying to decide if I want PDLS and 18-way (vs 2-way). If I can get both in 1 package it's probably worth it to me.

I see no indication that PDLS has anything to do with either premium package flavor.

These premium packages are not a bargain unless you were already going to get the 18-way seats.

I'm already adding all the options in the package except PDLS and 18-way but I'm considering both.

You are not located in the U.S. Yes?

Well, then that's just freekin' weird. I see now that the confusilator indicates that PDLS is part of the Premium Package but not Premium Package Plus.

I'm calling content bug on this. But, no way to know which is right.

You're going to have to go to the source (PCNA) to get clarification.

I contacted PCNA with no response so I reached out to my local dealer. They said that the premium package does include PDLS but the stand-alone option also adds additional black tinting. They confirmed that the premium package plus does not include PDLS.

If you do a GTS configuration with either of the packages (Premium or Premium Plus) and then look at the summary page, you will not see the PDLS as selected. It seems you must select it separately & it's just a "typo" in the configurator.
Note that the PDLS is part of the Premium packages if you configure an "S". You'll note also the increase in price for this package on the "S".

Hope this helps.

In summary - it looks like there are a number of content bugs in the updated-for-MY'19 configurator.

It makes zero sense to list PDLS in the PP package but not in the PP+ package.

An increase in the PP/PP+ package price for an S would make sense of PDLS is standard on the GTS.

rdmustang: I suspect that the SA at your local dealer was just parroting what is on the configurator.

I ordered a 2018 Cayman GTS with PDLS the 18 way seats and the premiem package. Each one was a separate option.

As have I. This discussion made me revisit and confirm I did it right. It's unfortunate that the website is a bit confused.

I received confirmation from PCNA that PDLS is included in the PP package and it's different than the stand-alone Bi-Xenon PDLS option in that the stand-alone is tinted black which they called out as a Porsche Exclusive option.

Thank you for contacting Porsche Cars North America with your inquiry. We appreciate your interest in the 2019 718 Boxster GTS, it certainly is a remarkable car!

The Premium Package offers the Bi-Xenon headlights with PDLS; if selected there is still the ability to add the Bi-Xenon Headlights in Black with PDLS. While both options are very similar in that they include PDLS, the latter is in the color black, and is a Porsche Exclusive option.

For further specifics, feel free to contact the sales department of your local dealership. Or, you may wish to communicate with Porsche Exclusive directly by emailing: customerconsultations@porsche.us

I am not sure I buy into this. If correct, the cost to get black buckets on your GTS is $1500. Add that option to your S and the increase is $670.
It doesn't make sense.
