1st Timer Taking Delivery of 718 Today!
Finally, after ordering my first Porsche back in August, today is pick up day! Headed to the dealership now and wanted to know if there are any particular things I should pay close attention to — any common defects or issues that I should be watching out for? I want my car to be perfect and have the dealership fix any flaws. Thanks for all the help you’ve given me, this is a great community of fellow car enthusiasts and I greatly appreciate all the assistance and the kindness you’ve all shown me.

Have the dealership show you how to set all of the personal settings (e.g., mirror dip when in reverse, locking etc.) and set-up the Homelink (if possible). Mundane, yes, but Porsche's seem to be more complex in these matters. Agree with Kaduku on the washing, and remember to place a durable sealant (e.g., Griot's Poly Wax) on your wheels and brake calipers.

Agree with above on no dealer wash! And being shown how do do settings. Usually the car audibly beeps upon remote locking. We’ve had this disabled on our cars (the headlights/taillights still flash silently). This must be configured by the dealer and it was important to us.
Our dealer swapped out the side markers for clear (they didn’t charge but some dealers might). It’s personal preference and also depends on car color (you might prefer the orange side markers on an orange car for example).
Congrats! Post photos!! Enjoy!
