Suggestions for suspension upgrade?
Wondering if any of you guys have any suggestions on suspension upgrades for a 96 993TT? The ones on the car are a little worn and I would love to hear what options are out there... Thx in advance.

If primarily for the street, I'd go with Bilstien HD and ROW springs or PSS9 coilovers. If primarily for the track with some street, then Moton Clubsports.
I have PSS9s and the car is driven at the track about 6 times a year. I'm very happy with the setup. I've had Motons on track-only cars and they were good for that usage, but I would never put them on a car that is also drive on the street.

What level driver are you? What mod's do you have on your car? What are you going to use the car for?
Putting Motons on a stock car with no intention of tracking it, doesn't make much sense. If it's stock and only an occasional drivers ed day, stick with the M030's. If your modified and want to do some track stuff the KW's are state of the art for street and track. If it's a modified track Motons or KW's.

Just thinking of lowering the car a tad as the original suspensions
need to be changed soon, and replacing them with OEM seems
a little boring...

Pss10's or the like are probably you best bet. Spend some time looking around, the prices vary quite a bit from vender to vender. Your next step will be a good alignment and then your all set

Thanks for all the advice guys.
Looks like the Bilstein PSS10s are the front runners right now...
Are there cheapers places to purchase them other than TireRack?

Remember there is nothing wrong with looking around for the best price, these things are expensive enough already. It might come down to who has them in stock too at which point that price becomes VERY fair rather quickly
Good luck and happy motoring!

Just as an FYI, for 993TT suspension changes I sell about 90% PSSxx (10s now) to 10% HDs with the proper ROW springs (turbos use heavier rear springs than ROW M030). On 993 NA cars it is just the opposite. 10% install PSS10s. Remember the turbos have way more power (you want to avoid squat), and more weight, and more weight hanging further back (turbo motors sit 40mm futher back in the engine compartment than NA cars). So PSS10s are a good choice.

I'm sure you could. Make a few calls to the resellers, sub $2k should be good price. You'll be shocked at the price differences from vender to vender sometimes. I remember seeing some of these poor guys pay $3.5 - $4k for pss9's!! Ouch....
