iId call the guy, tell him your situation, and ask him if he could just email you some information that proves that he is the owner. That way you won't have to call the cops on him...

Maybe just ask for the VIN and tell him you want to check it. If he's honest he'll give it to you. If he's the thief you dont want to scare him off.

I'm pretty sure that car has been for sale a lot longer than a week and half.

I called that guy and he gave me the vin. It is not it.

My car had 141,xxx on the odometer. Motor of course had less than 5k on it. Son of a bi...

That is exactly what my car looked like though.

It has been a while and no word yet from anyone. Denver has so much snow that this car could be tucked in an alley somewhere and it won't be found until spring.

I've certainly been looking at all the for sale posts.

I'll keep an eye out on the south end of town, Castle Rock, and towards the Springs. I haven't seen any Porsches (except Cayennes) on the roads since our first blizzard before Christmas. Mine's been garaged since then, as I don't dare venture the first couple hundred yards to the main road.

Might post a picture and a reward notice at the Maintaince center were the snow plows operate from. They have to go down every street sooner or later. It might just be sitting somewere waiting to be discovered.
