The ones from late '60s and early '70s Road & Track, etc. are even more depressing...

Interesting, thanks for posting. I still remember the 1961 356 cab I almost, almost bought in 1966 from a friend - $2,400. Got spooked over insurance costs (17 at the time) and potential repair costs (although I had saved plenty of money to buy, insure and repair). Had I just put it in a time capsule, it would be worth north of $130K today. Still have pics. Waited 40 years and finally got my 1960 coupe.

I called on the 57 speedster for $12k. I'm gonna offer him $10. With that $10k in 1982 he could invest in Apple or IBM and well.....
