If you look at Hagerty values, I am not surprised at that sale. Prices have been getting crazy. At a crossroads with my '60 Coupe - start restoration or sell now. Leaning towards starting a restoration (she's a driver though sat too long and needs some engine work), hate to part with her.

It's always good to remember the huge 18% spread between what the buyer pays and what the seller receives on these auction sales.
Assuming the standard 10% buyer's premium and 10% seller fee, this car hammered for $88,000, but the buyer paid $96,800 ($88K plus 10%), and the seller only received $79,200 ($88K minus 10%).
Actually the seller probably received even less, because seller usually also pays listing fee, photography fee, etc.
