61b versus 64c
Assuming same condition which would you purchase and why?
It seemed the c models with 4whl disc brakes were desirable as the best handling driving cars but the early models especially pre-A were desirable. Now the B cars are creeping up for some reason?
MY preference based on specs is the C disc brake car. Any reason not to go that direction? Maybe just upgrade the brakes? Should similar condition C's be going for more than B cars when I'm shopping?
Thanks for you input

I owned a 64 sc coupe and can tell you it was a fantastic car.
Im partial to the single grill look though. My 61 has its original brakes and stops just fine even with the added horses.
Cars with 12 volt systems have better lights..thats a consideration to have.
INMO coupes drive better than cabs...coupes are stiffer in the curves. Look for a sunroof so you can have the best of both worlds.

Any reason you'd look for a B over a C? I under stand the 12 volt concern and I also prefer the 4whl disc set up personally. I only ask because I've been looking at both.

Just like the looks of the T5 B. The T5 still has some of the early look and 6 to 12 volt conversions are do-able. As far as brakes, the drums are very capable!

Interesting. My understanding was that the B had the later straight fenders, higher bumpers and lights but lacked the technological improvements of the C.

Ok that makes sense. Just depends on what styling lines you like. The "registry" guys around here with 356s seems to point out the fenders as the styling cue they liked most or least. Single grille back date wouldn't be too much trouble but couldn't round the hood if that was a styling preference. The twin grilles just looked like cooling improvement to me but I do like the single grille with the extra vents stamped on either side ala race car cooling look. Guess that's more outlaw style.
