people can build these out of a VIN tag.
If you got a title you are in the game.
You can either spend 100k to restore it or sell it to somebody who will do the same or can actually build it themselves...
cool find.
Id find the title, make it a roller and sell it on egay.

The repairs folks accomplish on these cars is truely amazing; as I imagine the cost is also.
Check out the 356 Registry, it has tons of information and support.

Plan at this point is to get a few friends help me pull it out. Will try to find a suitable used cheap trailer to winch it onto, and store it on. Will try to find a suitable cheap storage location near Ann Arbor MI, to sort things out. A lot of prep to do...

Talked to my uncle today, he re-confirmed that I can have the car. Said he'd find the title and sign it. Also told me the car was originally silver with red diamonds at the headlights. Was raced by a man named Cathie or Cathay (sp?). Said he bought it around 1960, probably mid-Michigan, and soon after broke the windshield, that was the reason the car was put up in the barn. He told me it has the 1500 engine. All I learned from the short call.

It will be. Plan at this point is to buy a car hauler trailer and winch the 356 on, then park it at my rental house where there is some space.
