Help Comparing 2 356's

Prices are fairly similiar.
The '64 has a sunroof, disk brakes (i assume) and is newer.
The '63 doesn't have disk brakes??, is one year older, but is an S90 which has a more powerful engine, right?
Forgetting about color, which is the better car for the $?

64 & 65 have disk brakes, prior all drum.
I don't remember the exact HP numbers, but 64 was bumped up a little. I don't think you would notice much difference in performance.
Personally if everything else is equal, I'd opt for the 64 because of disk brakes and some other improvements, and the C's (64 & 65) typically have a little higher value.
Lots of information at 356 Registry (http://porsche356registry.org/). You'll have to join for full access, but if you are even just thinking about a 356, its worth it for the wealth of information found there (and includes a great magazine too).
Also, you REALLY should get a PPI by someone experienced in 356's. There can be huge differences between two cars that might look OK, and certain problems can be very expensive to fix.
Prices seem high to me, you can probably do a lot better if you take your time and look around and make sure you get a solid car. But then prices can vary drastically depending on condition, level of restoration, etc., etc.
Matching numbers (body, engine, trans) are more highly valued.

Both appear to be very nice examples. I'd lean towards the '64 for the reseasons Jim noted. I've been shopping for one for the past month. Prices seem all over the board but, numbers matching, excellent driver quality examples seem to be in the $60 and up range. The A's and C's seem command the higher prices though.
Let us know what you decide.

Another I'm interested in.

Love the colors on this one but no sunrooof. Does a sunroof car really command such a large premium or are there other factors to consider such as cloth seats, older resto, etc?

Sloan is usually on the high side, and sometimes makes untrue statements about the cars. You have to know what you're looking at with him.

Aventura Motors is always way too expensive. Do some further research.
Start with rennlist classifieds, 356 Registry and PCA. Then try the other venues like ebay and some reputable sellers.
Sloan has good things, but this gray one is for sale for over a year. It needs work.
Rule number one: go see the car before you shell out the same money you'd spend on a brand new 6 cyl. Cayenne!
GL with the search.

Not sure I want to sell, but I have a Smyrna Green 62 T6B. If you like the color, I am in NJ and it is fully restored. It has Tan interior, which is nicer than grey IMHO.
Let me know, I would be way way under the prices you are looking at on the other two cars.
