Default 356 6V jump start

Can I jump start a 6V '62 356B using my 12V '10 C2S battery??...

Yes, if you are careful and quick. Your battery cables will heat up, etc. My best success was with someone else holding the cables, clamp the negative on, hold positive in your hand, and on a count apply positive to the terminal.

I don't care how many people have done this, it is a terrible and unquestionably unsafe idea.

The risk of having a battery explode and shower you with sulphuric acid is much greater than zero, plus there is a real chance of damaging the electrical system of the 356.

Would you plug a 110 volt device into 220?

I guess it is not worth trying. the notchback is on a 6V battery tender anyway.

Best solution is getting a battery charger that can handle 6V or 12V. I would never try that other method.
