356C Distributor?

Looking for a new or rebuilt distributor for my 356C. Pellow recommended a Bosch .050, but they are hard to come by and at least one commentator thinks they underpower the engine because their curve is almost flat. I'm running a 90 hp engine (original case, Solex carbs, 912 heads). I've had terrible experience with Pertronix and other electronic ignition distributors and would prefer to run on points. What do you folks recommend and where can you source it? Thank you.

this guy can probably help you...

"all things being equal" (which they never quite are, but none-the-less...), the wisdom seems to be that the model dist that came w/ your 356 is probably preferred (if the car is not heavily modded, etc.). the 356 Registry is where you'll learn alot about 356s... http://www.356registry.com/
good luck!

Agree, check the 356 Registry. What do you have now? If you have an 022, best bet would be to rebuild it.
Also I almost went with Pertronix, and my mechanic (long time 356 guy) talked me out of it.
