$1.88 No, seriously, I would love to have one. But, the restoration costs will probably never be recovered in your lifetime. However, we love our cars. The best to you.

The latest (June 2009) issue of Excellence has its Porsche Market Update on 356's. Current values shown for 1953 cabs are:
So-so Condition: $58,752
Good Condition: $66,887
Excellent Condition: $90,388
I imagine there is a lot of interpolation going into those numbers, but it is consistent with cabs of all years generally.
For comparison, Speedster values are listed at, more or less, $106,000 in so-so condition to $162,000 in excellent condition.
