Hello all,
For a restoration project I'm contemplating I believe I'll need a new wiring harness for the right hand drive 1957 356A Coupe.
A few questions:
1. Does anyone have an email address for YnZ? Not being in the USA it is not practicable for me to 'phone them, but to use their website to contact them I have to give a valid US 'phone no. (Catch 22??)?
2. Since the car is RHD, can I use a LHD wiring harness, if I rotate the LHD harness 180 degrees, then rotate back the engine bay (starter, generator, etc) items that are in a common location in both RHD and LHD vehicles?
3. Any other potential sources for the harness?
Many thanks
Dave

Can't help you with YnZ's email address. I see what you mean about their email form -- strange. Have you tried entering their phone nbr?
Another source... There's a company in Germany that reproduces harnesses. They may have a RHD solution. I have no direct experience with them, but a couple people on the 356 Registry seemed happy with them.

Good luck!

they are the guys you want top deal with, they can make the harness as your rhd car requires (they / you'll want to know if your car was built rhd at the factory or converted to the English style). I would fax them at (909) 335-6237 & request an email contact point, or arrange a specific time to talk by phone.
funny how some businesses that provide vintage parts also utilize vintage forms of comms.
good luck!

Thanks both JonesnSince78 and Ked, I've emailed the German contact and will fax the YnZ US company. All a bit of a learning curve this.
I will post pictures of the car in due course - found in a barn where it's been for the past 28 years and not a spot of rust to be seen (battery box rock solid, longitudinals solid, no rust in floor or doors or headlight hollows, etc). No ice or salt on the Australian roads. Original factory RHD - not a conversion.
Ta,
Dave
