Default Rudge repro wheels

hi,
i've posted on the registry list questions about the repro rudge wheels that european sells.
i'd like to have feedback of customers who bought these wheels.

in my opinion the holes are far toooooooooo large.
Quality wise I did not hear good things about them as well...

it seems they are not as solid as they should be... I never tried them, so I cannot say it for myself... all I can say is that they do not look nice installed on the car... the holes are larger than they should...

They aren't an exact duplicate. Alex Bivens in California has some wheels that deserve a look (at least he used to).
I hunted for two years and found a set of originals in Atlanta for my '62 Twin Grille Roadster (champagne/green leather/black). $3,000/wheel to restore. Turned out great (IMHO).
Hard to find for a B car, and as the A wheels don't fit and as Germany outlawed center spinner wheels in 1960, only US cars could get 'em. I've heard it estimated that less than 100 sets were fitted on B cars, and as you know, they don't fit C cars. At a price of $400, they were not a popular option (and they are heavy, to boot). Really pretty, though.
