Does anyone run street car with roll cage? For instance this one;

Max was 'street legal' :LOL: and he had a roll cage:







Gunter had a roll cage when we got him. Robert has since removed it. You can sorta see it in this picture that was taken before we bought him. Wow! Gunter has changed in the three years we've had him. THEN:

there's been a great deal of discussion over having a rollcage in a street car on 356Talk (you can sign up & search the db at the Registry). the concern raised was over having such a hard metal surface so close to the occupant's unprotected heads, that in the "2nd collision" (that occuring inside after the exterior has been struck) they would quite possibly strike the bar. of course, if you wear a helmet all the time... added advantage of other drivers keeping their distance...

That is the ONE thing I was worried about as a passenger in Max. Look at the bar behind the passengers head! OUCH!!!!!

We might end up running one, and IF we do, it will be a pretty close fit to the B pillar and most likely not be a full cage, but a roll hoop with rear braces.
