Hello
So you have a BT6 body with external filler.
Simplest is:
Close fuel cook. Remove hose from fuelcook. Pull the securepin from the cook stick and push the lever a bit inside the cabin.
Remove fuelsender wire ( can be on the underside or on the upper side from the tank ).
Remove the 4 hold down tabs on the tank edge in the trunk. Remove the rubberboot around the filler neck. Loose the intermediate plates on the trunkwall surounding the filler neck. Remove vent tube/hose. Now lift the tank on the driverside and tillt it untill you can pull the filler neck straight trough the acceshole in the trunkwall.
You have to turnthe tank a bit onto a inward circle to get the neck out and clear the fuel cook. If the fuel cook will not clear then return the tank and use a big spanner ( 27 ? ) to remove the unit speratly.
Then you have it freed into your hands.
It helps if the fuel is drained

Nope, the Fuel **** is inside the car, in the center just above the passingers toes !!
Roland, many fuel ***** are inverted - in that the handle is pointing upwards rather than downwards as the handbook shows. Does this means the reserve is open or closed?

Hello
Well actually the fuel cook in the BT6 bodys sits admit under the long flat fueltank and therefore is only accesible from the underside.
Invertet lever indicates invertet too.
You can turn the grommet with the marks upside down to to see that
But you also can say to covered mark indicates correct ( if you see A & Z the lever is on R )
