Nor Cal Dyno/Pizza Run, update/need input
Ok, finally spoke with Kevin the owner of The Racers Group. He is currenty in the middle of his race season and next week (the day we had hoped to tour his shop) he will be in Washington DC for a race.
Kevin would like to be able to give our group the royal treatment. This would mean having his entire staff at the event, Himself, general manager, crew chief, electrical engineer, dyno operator, etc. He wants us to be able to take pictures sitting in his two race cars (car that won the Rolex 24hrs, other car that placed at Le Mans) with the trophys on the hood. Get a guided tour of their transport trailer and the shop from Kevin himself. To be able to talk with the general manager. Have the crew chief and electrical engineer available for conversation and have them oversee the cars on the dyno.
As Kevin said the royal treatment. Kevin can not do this until Saturday October 19. Kevin has had inquiries from many car clubs, but Kevin stated that if we were still interested, he would reserve the date for us and decline the other clubs.
So there you have it. I will need a show of hands for people interested in moving this event to October. If we get the same or better turn out, The Racers Group will put us on their schedule.
Kevin is a very gracious person, very concerned about doing everthing to the best of his abilities (which proves out in his current high level of success), and I feel it would be well worth the wait.

Dear Bill,
Car No 81 now number 66 for the remaining US season actually won the GT class at LeMans. Twas more than "placed at LeMans". Same car won Mid-Ohio, was third at Road America and second at Washington DC.
I am sure that Kevin will look after your whole group very well indeed,
Ciao,
Adrian

I could be terribly misinformed and don't want to rain on anyone's parade but the October 19th date has already been announced to some PCA regions in this area as a general open house, as it is, as Bill mentioned, the only day both cars will be there, all the trucks, equipment, people, etc... At least that is what his office manager responded back to me with when I contacted her about a tour for my PCA region. Also there is an event at the track there that day. Could be a real zoo, or I could be full of crapola.
