Post Cutting Open a New Washer Bottle

Been lurking for a few weeks, thanks for so much 944 insight. Now, in with the parts that came with my new project, I get a new windshield washer bottle (PN 477.955.451.D); I found that I don't need this as my old one was fixed by re-seating the headlight pump. So now I'l guess I'l sell the new one on ebay or some such to offset the rising bills. Two questions, first I'm told this will fit all 924 cars (including turbos) from 1979-82, 924S cars from 1987-88,
and 944 cars (including turbos, S & S2 series) from 1983-91. Can someone confirm that (please).

And second, this bottle appears to have provisions for cutting out a plug for inserting the headlihgt pump - any tips on how to do that?...Bruce
