I`M LOOKING FOR AS MUCH INFO ON 356B? THINGS LIKE STOCK HORSEPOWER,AND HOW MANY PONIES COULD BE COAXED OUT OF THE ENGINE.WHAT ARE THE PROBLEM AREA`S? I`M THINK OF BUILDING A LITTLE TRACK CAR. NOTHING BUT SCHOOLS AND SOLO EVENTS.ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATFUL.

You may want to check out the listserv at the 356 Registry (www.356registry.org) - lots of people on there that deal with racing, etc. As far as horsepower, Gary Emory at Parts Obsolete builds a 4 cyl. engine out of a 6 cyl 911 engine that produces *lots* of HP. Not sure where that would fall for race regulations, etc. though.
