Default Missing life's simple things...

Today I realized how much I miss my 356 relationship...I'd love to grease my front suspension...being under the car with a hand grease gun...pump the fresh grease while the disgusting old "green" stuff is coming out from the suspension's guts...having just a bottle of beer as companion (maybe two or three )...better than therapy!!!!

Oh Boy....

Pedro, I've got to perform a frt susp servicing when I get (soon) a set of 5.5x15 fuchs for my (mild) outlaw SC... if you want to do it, come on up (free beer from green bottles) - no charge! (mine is the red one, taken on "drive Your 356 day")

Pedro,
Did you have "maybe two or three beers" before OR after you came to this realization?

Hey Ked...it would be a pleasure...believe me...if you are going for fuchs, you'll need some nerf bars to match wheels and your bursch exhaust...nice Signal red SC...keep the orinal 4 1/2 wheels though...you never know if a purist like myself would buy your car in the future!!!

The realization came "dry"!!! Just the speed of life taking too much from me...time for a two cars garage and a 356 again...

Pedro, I like the nude look, it's closer to the Abarth, one of my favorite Porsches... we shall see after the fuchs are on. I'll also lower it almost 1" all around, maybe w/ a slight nose down aspect (there is debate on this matter). I will keep the date-code matching chrome wheels, since I rarely sell anything (exception was selling 2 Alfa Spiders to get my 911). color was originally Irish Green, wish it still was, since I like it & the current paint is a 10' job, + I'm tired of red cars (had about 4 Alfa Rosso), but I don't walk away from a deal on a car I want because of color!

you know, w/ 3 Porsches from '59 to '87 I have a lot of maint to attend to. I could sell all & get a very nice late model one (maybe a GT3) w/ no hassles, but I like the classics, their driving dynamics & the variety. so, I just accumulate...

Dear David...I think you are quite a great "custodian" for Flipper...the little tub is in great companion and in very good hands!!!

There's a friend willing to sell his 1962 T6 Cabriolet, at a very reasonable price though!!!! Tempting....but first I need a two cars garage...can't part with the 993 either...

Pedro, if the Cab is nice & you want it, buy it. Store it until you build / expand the garage (or buy it contingent on him storing it until Spring, or... be creative!). Storage fees will motivate you execute your plan quickly. On the other hand, if the housing market has a hard(er) landing after the election, there may be even more deals to be had - homes w/ big garages that already have a 356 installed...

Hi Ked...this Cab is on hold...garaged and covered...car is not in the market and seller is not in a hurry...hopefully next year...

Brett...if I had to park the 993 outside ( 32K miles garage queen) I'd rather sell it...got to be a responsible custodian...I'm not provoking the Porsche gods!!!

David...you have a 3 cars garage...although the 356 is on skates!!!

Hey Pedro:

If you become desperate and need to get the Cabrio now, I can always make the extra garage in my house available to a good friend like you!!! No strings attached you just have to be able to live with the short commute.

If there's no risk of losing the car or you are not yet completely desperate then I guess you could wait for your two (or more) car garage.

Regards,

Andres

Thank you very much my friend...if the seller gets "nervous", I'll ask for your help...I think everything will come together by mid 2007...good timing!!! Thanks again for the kind offer!!!

I missed my 356 too until I scored this !

Same ol' 356 engine, no more greasing the front axle though. And it brakes better ;-)

OK, Greg, this is your opportunity to show us the 912, why don't you come down to Key Largo for Rico's event and we all have a great time. You can stay with us whatever days or nights you want.

(Note to self: change avatar to one NOT showing the Fjord leaving Greg's house
