Back when I was much closer to a kid than an adult I owned 1958 Speedster # 84811. The day that I sold the car it had an S 90 engine, nerf bars, Speedster seats, and 5.5" chrome wheels. It was originally white, but a year or more after the sale I was told the car was seen in the San Fernando Valley (L.A. area), and was a lime green color. I never saw the car again, and have often wondered what might have happened to it. Does anyone know this car?
Pete

Dear Pete,
According to the www.my356speedster.com this car is a 1958 356A T2 and the original color was Ivory...unfortunately it is not registered there yet...the 356 registry's database has no records from this car as well... I'd say you should join the registry's Internet talklist and post the VIN# over there...use the link below to subscribe to the 356 Talk...it's free and very easy to unsubscribe through the same link.
I just went through the entire Speedster 50th Anniversary: Celebration of an Icon book and checked out every picture with a chassis number listed. I did not see your car. Doesn't mean it wasn't there, it just wasn't pictured. It was worth a try anyway. DARN The closest Chassis number was 84829
