Default Bye Bye 356

I sold my 356 today.. Actually I sold it about a month ago in 5 minutes to a friend who had been looking forever and did not hesitate long - I don;t think he even asked his wife... My car was not getting as much use as it would have liked lately and subtly asked if it could be transfered to a new owner who'd drive it more often... It's in good hands! can you see the smile on the new owner's face ? ;-)

It's twice, now, that I sell a 356 I was supposed to keep forever, but space, time, other car constraints always seem to interfere... more time for the 73 911 who dreams of becoming a track car, I suppose!

Bye bye 356 !!! T'was fun ! Maybe I'll get another someday - but the way the market's going, I kinda doubt it !

Greg.

Sorry for your loss....beautiful 356! At least a friend has it...you never know, he may lose interest in the future, right around the same time you really want it back He's just storing it for you for a little while...

Actually if that were to be the case, I'd rather get back my previous 356 which I also sold to a friend ;-) It was a 65C...

Even though I prefer the lines of the A models, I much prefer the handling/braking of the C cars ! You never know... Maybe when I extend my garage ($$$) but then I won't have money to purchase the cars !

Always the catch-22. If you have the garage height, spend $3K for a lift! That's what I did (although after install, plus getting the better model, plus raising the door w/commercial door lift it's closer to $5K all in). That still leaves enough to get the C or A back

Talking Thank you Greg

Your car is in good hands indeed!!!

I am the happy owner of the new car I feel she likes her new home a little better since she doesn't get bad comments about her color but rather many, many compliments. In any event, come over this weekend and you can see her again if you are having too bad 356-withdrawal symptoms.

Hmmm...Karim...That sounds like a hint, if you are thinking of selling I think Greg has some cash he can offer to get the C back....

DID I SAY I AM HAPPY???

Nah... I meant that as in " The C is the one the wife might let me get back" but that is the same situation really, no time to drive it. I do prefer the look of the As by a long shot, and the motor on that A was also way more powerful than the stock C engine. ideally I'd want your A with the C brakes and paint job..

Fat chance of that ever happening !!! meantime, the old 911 is going to get her roll cage and I will try to distract myself from the pain of not having a 356 anymore by diving into as many track days as I can !!!
