does anybody know or heard of someone who installed an aftermarket sunroof in there 356C that looked factory.

I think the answer is no. The OEM supplier "back in the day" was Webasto, still in business. You might seek out a high end body shop that installs them (I had one installed in an Alfetta GT years ago, worked well). The key is getting the roof contour right. As you may know, most people who MUST have a sr in their old 356 buy one in the form of a complete roof clip (no doubt from a crashed or rusted example).
