Look whos coming to dinner.
If you could invite ten people connected to the 356 to dinner at your house who might they be. Living or dead, time is meaningless except cocktails at 6 sharp.
Here is my list.
Additions may occur but you would have to kick someone out.
1. Karl Rabe
2. Erwin Komenda
3. Louise Piech
4. Ferry Porsche
5. his spouse
6. Ferdinand Piech
7. Butzi Porsche
8. Hans, the fellow who was installing the 356 motor in the Made by Hand movie.
9. Myself, Mike Jekot
10. My brother, Mark (though not a 356 guy, wants to be secretly)

I'm not including Robert or myself in the count since we wouldn't have to "invite" ourselves to our own dinner!

Very basically.....Erwin Komenda met Ferdinand Porsche in 1929 and worked as Chief Designer for Dr. Porsche from 1931 until his death in 1966. He designed the VW bug, the 356 and the 550 Spyder among a few others.

WOW do I feel honored to be included in this event.
I would turn in my 911 credentials for this dinner.
Just wondering what the meal would include. Always thinking with my stomach.
Perhaps, if there was room for one more - could we squeeze Zora Arkus-Duntov on the end?
Just for the racing perspective. Not really a 356 connection but a 550 would work perhaps.
If not I would sit in the kitchen with him...........
