Default acquiring a 356

I am seriously thinking about acquiring a 356B/C and live in central NJ. Can anyone recommend a good Porsche mechanic for 356's for general maintainence and to perform the PPI if I find a local seller? Also, what kind of classic car insurance should be bought. I am unfamiliar as this would be my first calssic vehicle.

Hi...first of all, get a 356 Registry's membership...then subscribe to the 356Talklist (find link over the www.356registry.org )...after that the best beginner book you can possibly get is James Schrager's "Buying, Driving and Enjoying the Porsche 356"...follow these steps and have some patience while searching for a good car... and stay tuned here of course!!!

Good luck my friend...
