Hi...Bali Blue was a special color for both 1962-1963 and 1964-1965...for 1962-1963 color had 6212 as Porsche # and 746 as Reutter #...for 1964-1965 (356C) Bali Blue was special color cade # 6412...no more Reutter code as Reutter became part of Porsche in late 1963...

Check the color...

I was just thinking about the same thing too. My body tag says its original color is Bali Blue but mine is a '61. The VIN plate and color tag are both on the same panel so I'm assuming it’s original.
I definitely like the color...its a little different

Your car was probably made in 1961, year/model 1962...they used to change model year after their summer vacation (July)...Bali Blue was not original for 1961 cars...
