All I was told by the owner was that it got damaged right behind the passengerside headlight. It is in a very VERY good Body shop already with work to start soon. Very sad, but I'm sure it will be repaired so no one can ever tell..... Can you imagine how many of the cars there this past weekend had body work done at one time or another and they still looked perfect. Lots of things can happen to a car in 45/50 years!

OK
THGE MYSTERY GREEN COLOR IS "LAGO GREEN" .

FROM WHAT I WAS TOLD BY JIM KARABA, THIS GREEN WAS A 55 OR 56 COLOR. AND THE CAR IN QUESTION HAD THIS COLOR IN THE INSIDE PART OF THE DOORS.SO WHEN THEY RESTORED THE CAR THAT'S THE COLOR THEY USED. I DEFINTELY REMEMBER SEEING THIS COLOR LISTED IN STODDARD COLOR CHARTS. SO QUITE POSSIBLY, THE CAR WAS FACTORY BUILT USING A COLOR FROM A PREVIOUS MODEL YEAR. NOT THAT UNUSUAL
AS JUST ABOUT ANYTHING WAS POSSIBLE AT PORSCHE IN THE FIFTIES.

Yeah, the goodie bad was pretty stocked wasn't it?

The one on the left is really a peice of crap classical, I keep it around because it's the first guitar I ever bought. I don't claim to be good, just helps me relax.

Hello all,
I know this thread is old but I was just reading it. Sharky, I was the one who you rode with on the cruise. I did restore the green car. It is a 1957 T1 cab (not a speedster as someone had thought). It is painted LAGO green. That was a 1956 only color but was specially ordered for his car for 1957. I thought I would put that info here in case someone was still wondering about it.

Cool stuff - and I really appreciate the ride - you did a helluva job on both cars!

and i just had to chime in and say that this thread *although old* is the closest thing to 356 **** that i have ever seen since in the 356 area of rennlist
