Hello SwissCarrera

I am a Baselland 993 driver who has been running a 356 Speedster replica for 2 years and wanted to buy a real 356 convertible or Speedster.

I was in Orlando for 5 days last November and didn't have time to look around but I'll be back in Florida this July.

If you find anything interesting that you don't want I'd appreciate if you could send me a mail etc

Regards

Mike

Hi Mike,
I live on Lake Zurich., so not too far away from you at all. Who built yr speedster replica? How have you found it to be? i was very curious about the replicas and have looked at the ones offered by 356 california (i think they are based in Argau).
Are you sure your not my twin , because i also drive a silver 993 C2 !!

Hi SwissCarrera...the following link will take you to the Florida Owners Group web site...they have a "talklist" and you can reach some members through this list... <http://www.porschepilots.com/fog/fog.htm>

We have more than 300 356 registry members in FL...you can probably find a good car here... the best way to buy a car is always from an enthusiast! Anyway, get a PPI!

Check some of the FL cars...picture from last November at Naples - FL

Swiss Carrera, I don't know if this would be of interest to you but I have a good friend who is selling his 1964 356C coupe totally restored, Red with a white headliner and black interior, Bursch exhaust, 4 wheel disc brakes and MINT. It has been restored over the last 7 years. He owns 70 cars and is meticulous with them all. I have bought 3 from him myself. All fantastic.
The car is in New York if that is a point of departure back to Switzerland. perhaps you could see it on an afternoon layover. That's if you don't find something in Florida. The car is awesome and in great shape.
Hope this helps. Be careful with Florida cars. The humidity there is a stress on all cars causing hidden and visible rust. Do a PPI on anything you may consider buying.
Good luck,

Gordon

Hi Mike,

I'm sorry I took this long to get back to you, I had a few computer problems the last few day's. I will try to download some pics here today although the quality is not top notch it will give you a good idea about the car.
Do you have an e-mail I can send the pics to? The quality would be better that way. I am not sure as to his asking price, I would guess in the 20's or so but by all means give him a call. His name is Dave and he is one of the "good guy's" and he can tell you all about the car. Call him at 1-1516-946-7771 and tell him Gordon gave you his number. My e-mail is gost@optonline.net you can contact me there for info as well.
Thanks for your interest Mike

Gordon

Hi Mike,
I think his asking price was just under 20,000 and I made an error in that the car is not white it's Red with a white headliner and black interior, sorry about that. Do give him a call. He'a a walking encyclopedia about Porsche's and all cars for that matter. It's an education talking cars with him!

regards,

Gordon
