Default Outlaw 356

What makes a 356 outlaw? Was this a factory option? What does it mean?

factory option.. uh.. no.

whats an outlaw?

it isnt a thing.. its a state of mind.. like karma.. its an attitude.. its bitchin man!

seriously, an outlaw is somthing thats not stock. usually in the sense that its modified for the specific purpose of being faster.. better handeling, lighter. an outlaw is a hot rod more or less. (now there is a BIG difference between an outlaw and a bastardised pos.)

moon huib caps, nurf bars, fuel safes, fuch wheels, lightened wheels, beefed up suspension, sport seats, lightened chassis, beefed up engine with w/ scat crank, shasta p&c's... or a 911 4 cyl engine is outlaw.. or a vic skirmants engine made for the street is outlaw... or a twin plug 356 m,otor is outlaw....

factory option.. we wish! well.. you could buy options.. like gt gas tank, or sport seats, or what not.. but thats still what the car came with so its not an outlaw. now you can take these options from parts cars or swap meets etc.. and throw them in a car to help it along in lightening it and making it an outlaw..

more or less.. you take a car, and you modify it to make it a better performing car.

check out parts obsolite.. gary emory is the king of the 356 outlaw.

Everything Harry said is spot on......

Here's a few pics of our Outlaw. It started life as a '55 Continental Coupe and was heavily modified to run the Carrera PanAmerican race.
Some of the mods include: 2 liter 914 engine with Abarth exhaust, speedster interior, full cage roll bar, racing harnesses, custom gages, special oil cooler, louvered engine lid etc. Just completed a Fuel Safe racing cell to replace the original GT tank. Other body mods are removable bumpers, plexiglass windows........ list goes on.......

PS: The car is named Max in tribute to Max Hoffman

I have always considered a skillful installation of a 911 motor into a 356 to be the fundamental qualification of outlaw status. But Max has prompted me to rethink that maxim.

Here's another one... this one is for sale.... ready for this??? $100,000.00!
It's unbelievably cool, and the owner was still talking about doing more... such as adding side skirts. We don't care for the tail lights, but you've got to admit, they are unique. This is taking "outlaw' to the extreme!

Harry... Our Fuel Safe Cell has been delivered as has the filler neck. You know what we will be busy doing this week. Can't wait to get him DONE!!!
