Opinions on this 356
I'm considering clearing some garage space and then adding a 356. What does everyone think about this car? Anyone have experience with either the selling dealer (Cooper Classic Cars) or the shop that restored the car (Kam Motorsports)? Thanks and happy holidays!

C models certainly most enjoyable to drive.
You should certainly ask for pics of the underside. I had a '64C in high school in 1973, and it had already rusted out once and been "fixed" (poorly) before I bought it and stripped it to bare metal and fixed it again.

It looks like a decent driver but don't be mislead by the desciption. The car is a good candidate for another restoration. This of course is as mentioned dependent upon the underside already being properly repaired. I'd have it closely looked into by someone knowledgeable as they have gotten pretty costly to have work done on them. As a heads up, I'm basing my comments on some issues I observed in the photos. I would expect the interior to look better after a recent total restoration. Door cards are wrinkled and the seat covers look to be stretching. Zoom in on the areas around the door hinges and particularly where the convertible top mechanism is. There are signs of rust in those two areas.

Strongly recommend that if you plan to get a 356, join 356 Registry and when considering a car, ask
for advice & opinion. Very nice people there. You might get somebody who know 356 to come and look at the car.
There are so many mis-done 356 around because not everyone know this great car.
What come to drive one, they are great, like a goart.
I have a ‘85 911 but like to drive the 356 more.
(hope my 911 don’t hear that)
