Default Price for project car?

I'm looking at a '64 normal coupe, new pans and other welding done professionally. Apart and ready for minor bodywork and paint. All parts accounted for and boxed with utmost care. Many, many new items in terms of trim and whatnot; i.e., new seat hinges, bumper trim, rubber, etc. Show quality motor on stand. Original color, resrayed same on outside once. No accident damage found. Other chasis items like brakes are in original condition (plenty used). Low apparent miles for a car this age. My guess is it will go for under $10K. How much under?

I wouldn't think much, if at all, depending on what a "show quality" motor means , how good the trans is, all matching numbers, if all the small little parts made of unobtanium are really there, etc.

I agree with Steve.....A "show quality motor" ??? If that means totally rebuilt and built to concours specs, the motor alone is worth 10K! If it's just an old 64 C motor that is all cleaned up but needs mechanical work, it's worth a few hundred.
It sounds pretty nice though, if the car was all assembled it would be worth maybe twice that price. C cars are very desirable 356s and are going up in value all the time.
Good Luck and post some pics.......
